The Environmental Impact of Game Day
The Super Bowl brings millions of fans together, but it also brings tons of waste. From plastic cups to food containers and discarded promotional items, tailgating areas and stadium lots often end up covered in litter. Unfortunately, much of this waste doesn’t make it into the proper bins, contributing to pollution and harming wildlife.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, EcoServants is calling on fans to take action!
The EcoServants Super Bowl LIX Challenge
We’re challenging Chiefs and Eagles fans to show their team spirit in a way that helps the planet! Here’s how you can participate:
- Clean Up the Tailgate: While you’re tailgating, collect litter from around your area—paper, bottles, cans, wrappers—anything that shouldn’t be left behind.
- Get Creative: Use the litter you’ve gathered to spell out your opponent’s team name—then put a giant “X” over it! Chiefs fans, “X” out the Eagles. Eagles fans, “X” out the Chiefs. Bonus points for creativity!
- Snap & Share: Take a photo of your creation and post it on social media and EcoBlogs. Tag us and use the hashtag #EcoSuperBowl to show off your efforts.
- Dispose Responsibly: After capturing your masterpiece, be sure to properly sort and dispose of the waste—recycling what you can!

This fun challenge is more than just a game—it’s a reminder that even small actions can make a difference. If every fan picked up just a few pieces of trash, we could prevent thousands of pounds of waste from harming the environment.
