EcoServants® Policy Update for OPT & EAD Interns
At EcoServants®, our commitment to environmental stewardship goes hand in hand with a deep responsibility to operate transparently, ethically, and in full compliance with the law. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 85-3376529), we exist to serve the public good—and that includes honoring the legal frameworks we operate within.
Many of the talented individuals who join us do so through the Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Employment Authorization Document (EAD) pathways. These programs are designed to offer international students and professionals the chance to contribute meaningfully while gaining valuable experience. We are proud to be a part of your journey—but we also have a duty to ensure these opportunities are used appropriately and lawfully.
New Monthly Reporting Requirement
Effective immediately, all interns affiliated with EcoServants® under OPT or EAD authorization must submit a Monthly Intern Report outlining their contributions, learning progress, and participation. This is more than a formality—it is an essential step in maintaining accountability and transparency for everyone involved.
We will report to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) — https://www.uscis.gov — any individual who:
- Is officially listed as affiliated with EcoServants®,
- But is not actively engaged in training or making meaningful contributions to our mission while falsely claiming to be involved.

EcoServants® will not serve as a placeholder affiliation for individuals seeking to remain in the U.S. without honoring their commitment to active participation. We are here to support, mentor, and uplift those who are truly engaged in building a more sustainable future.
Your Responsibilities
If you are currently participating in our internship under OPT or EAD authorization, you are required to complete and submit the Monthly Intern Report by the final day of each month.

Submitting this report ensures:
- Your contributions are recognized and documented,
- Your immigration status remains in good standing with USCIS,
- And we continue offering you a meaningful experience rooted in growth, purpose, and impact.
A Shared Commitment
EcoServants® is committed to fostering global collaboration and professional development. For those genuinely working to make a difference, we are honored to support your path. With that opportunity, however, comes the responsibility to uphold our mission and the standards that allow programs like this to thrive.
If you have questions about this policy or need help accessing the reporting form, please contact your program coordinator or email us at support@ecoservantsproject.org.
Together, let’s uphold a program defined by honesty, service, and shared purpose.
