We all want to live in a clean, beautiful, and thriving community—but making that vision a reality takes more than admiration. It takes action. At the EcoServants® Project, we believe true community pride is expressed when individuals step forward to care for their shared environment. It’s not just about where we live—it’s about how we live together.
One of the most impactful ways to demonstrate this pride is by participating in our monthly Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup, a hands-on initiative that directly improves the health and appearance of our local roadways.

Why This Matters
Litter along our highways isn’t just unattractive—it’s harmful. Plastics, cigarette butts, fast food containers, and other waste pollute ecosystems, damage soil and water quality, and endanger wildlife. And in places like Lakeside and El Cajon, roadside trash also sends the wrong message about our collective values.
Through the Adopt-A-Highway program, EcoServants® has taken responsibility for a stretch of highway between Santee and El Cajon, California. By participating, you’re helping ensure this area remains safe, beautiful, and reflective of the community’s respect for its environment.
More Than Just Trash Pickup
Volunteering at our cleanup is about more than removing debris. It’s about building habits of care, demonstrating leadership, and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship.
When you show up, you help:
- Protect wildlife from harmful waste
- Prevent stormwater pollution
- Set a civic example for others to follow
- Strengthen bonds with other local changemakers
It’s also a valuable educational opportunity for students, families, and young volunteers who want to understand what hands-on environmentalism looks like in practice.
Let’s Turn Good Intentions Into Real-World Impact
Many people care about the environment—but far fewer act on that concern. We invite you to break that cycle and be part of a growing movement of EcoServants® taking pride and action in their communities.
💡 Meet us at the Park & Ride at 11614 Woodside Ave, Lakeside, CA 92040 at noon on June 28. We’ll supply safety vests, gloves, and bags. Just bring comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, and a willingness to help.
