Every year on April 22, the world unites to celebrate Earth Day, a global movement dedicated to environmental protection and sustainability. This year, EcoServants is taking action where it matters most—at the intersection of land and sea. We invite you to be part of our Beach-to-Wetlands Cleanup & Restoration Event at Del Rey Lagoon.
Why This Event Matters
Coastal ecosystems are among the most fragile and essential environments on our planet. Beaches, wetlands, and lagoons serve as natural filters for pollutants, critical habitats for wildlife, and vital barriers against erosion and storm surges. Unfortunately, these areas are also among the most affected by human activity and pollution.
By participating in this event, you’ll be making a tangible impact by:
- Removing harmful debris that threatens marine life, birds, and local flora.
- Restoring native plant life to strengthen the wetlands and enhance biodiversity.
- Protecting the ecosystem that plays a crucial role in water filtration and carbon sequestration.
What to Expect
Participants will join a community of eco-conscious individuals working together to clean up plastic waste, litter, and hazardous materials from the beach and lagoon area. In addition to cleanup efforts, we will engage in wetlands restoration activities, including planting native vegetation to revitalize the ecosystem. Experts will also provide insights into the importance of coastal habitats and how we can continue to protect them beyond Earth Day.
Supplies and snacks will be provided! Just bring comfortable clothing, reusable water bottles, and a passion for making a difference.
